Francisco San Martin, known for his roles on Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, has passed away at 39. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a suicide by hanging.

Born in Mallorca, Spain, in 1985 and raised in Montana, San Martin began acting in children’s theater before returning to Spain as a teenager. He later pursued acting professionally, appearing in Spanish TV, film, and stage productions.

San Martin gained recognition as Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives in 2011 and later starred as Mateo on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2017. He also had a recurring role on Jane the Virgin and appeared in several short films.

His Days costar Camila Banus and TV journalist Michael Fairman paid tribute, expressing their shock and sadness.
